Home Air Ventilation Systems

New Zealand homes are notorious for dampness, and more than 20% are affected by it. A proper home ventilation system is your best defence against stale air, airborne moisture, and mould that thrives in closed-up, humid interiors. At Air Conditioning Group, we install ventilation systems, including advanced HRV systems and SmartVent ventilation systems designed for New Zealand conditions.

Why Choose a Home Ventilation System?

      Prevent Damp Air And Mould

Home air ventilation systems push out stale, moisture-heavy air and replace it with dry, filtered air. That means fewer foggy windows, no musty smells, and a significant drop in mould buildup.

      Improve Indoor Air Quality

Filtered airflow helps remove dust, allergens, and airborne nasties that often go unnoticed. These home ventilation systems are ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers, or anyone who just wants to breathe better indoors.

Save Energy With Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems

Our home air ventilation systems have heat recovery technology that reuses warmth from outgoing air to pre-warm the incoming stream. That keeps heating costs down while still maintaining a comfortable indoor climate.

House Vent Systems For Old and New Homes

Don’t let your ventilation system fail you. We offer up to 5 years of warranty for our ventilation system installations so that you're always comfortable, no matter what the weather.

Our Home Air Ventilation System Options

We supply and install ventilation systems NZ homeowners can choose from based on property type, airflow needs, and budget.

      Smart Ventilation

      SmartVent Ventilation Systems

SmartVent is a positive-pressure system designed to reduce condensation, dampness, and stale air in existing homes. By drawing filtered air from the ceiling cavity and circulating it through the house, it offers a simple, effective ventilation system for home comfort without overcomplicating things.

      Mitsubishi Lossnay Ventilation Systems

Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay is a balanced pressure home air ventilation system suited to newer, more airtight properties. It brings in fresh outdoor air, removes stale indoor air, and uses heat recovery to help maintain a more comfortable indoor temperature.

      Daikin Ventilation Systems

Daikin offers balanced home ventilation systems that help manage moisture, improve indoor air quality, and maintain steady airflow throughout the property. They’re particularly well-suited to modern homes and renovation projects where controlled ventilation matters.

      Panasonic Ventilation Systems

Panasonic ventilation systems are designed to improve airflow and support a fresher, healthier indoor environment. As a house vent system, they offer quiet, efficient performance for homes needing better moisture control and day-to-day comfort.

Outstanding execution. The job involved removing gas under floor ducting and replacing with heat pump ducting in our renovated villa. There were many challenges.Heat pump ducting needed to be bigger than the gas ducting and access was limited by downstairs bedroom, steel beams and the vents had to be made slightly larger. In the kitchen there was very poor access due to a structural beam in the way. The gas people just crunched up the pipe and wrapped duct tape around it. ACG custom made a tin trough to perfectly fit in the floor. The system also needed inlet vents for air and this was cleverly accessed and designed using the downstairs hallway and cupboard. All the old rubbish was taken away and the job was left spotless. The final result is much better than the gas system as we now also have cooling in the summer. This was a very complex job and I would doubt other aircon companies would have been able to complete such a skilled job. I highly recommend ACG.

We needed our air con de-gassed for some other work to be done on our property. Even though Steve said they were fully booked, he went the extra mile to try to help and managed to fit us in at very short notice. The guy who came to do the job was really efficient and good. Thank you so much for the fantastic customer service!

Responsive. Affordable. Quick. Steve and the team provided excellent service from start to finish. Steve came out for a quote within hours of my initial enquiry. He was patient with me bumbling my way around the old aircon and heatpump units and helped me find an economical solution to bring my heating up to Healthy Homes specification and double-checked the assessment to ensure that we chose the right wattage and capacity. Apart from its utility, the unit, a 73KW Panasonic number looks a million bucks in situ and has subtly facelifted the space on account of being a more modern, white unit. Regretfully, I have forgotten the name of the technician who came to do the installation but he was excellent and updated the circuitry which will solve some issues with tripping the previous setup had.

I would give 10 starts to these guys if I could. Steve replied and came around to quote almost immediately after my inquiry. Our layout was a bit tricky, but he figured out the best way to position the heat pumps. On the day, Ethan and Matt turned up on time, which was already a win for me. They were professional, engaging, checkin in with me and being respectful. They worked so hard to finish the install and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Everything looks and works perfect. Highly recommend to everyone and will be using their services again for my parent's house. Great work team 👍

Had full house ducted installed this week and so far so good. Good service through and the team did a decent job on the fitting. They removed the old unit while they were at it and placed the outtake in a better location even though it was a last minute change.

We bought the Diaken central heating system in August 2021. From day one, our lounge of 5 bedroom house, never gets warm enough and mostly is just cold as switched off. We requested help for few times. They attendeded once and replaced the thing and still no effect. Very hard to get in touch. Not so effective product after paying $14,000. Do not recommend.

      Ventilation Systems NZ FAQs

Whether you need one or not is preference-based, but households with condensation, stale air, dampness, or poor airflow often benefit from ventilation systems alongside those who have allergies, asthma and pets.

Yes. A home ventilation installation is a lot more complicated than a standard air conditioning unit installation, as it needs to account for airflow, ducting, outlet placement, and how the system will perform across the whole home.

We have a variety of home air ventilation systems suited to different homes and environments. We recommend reaching out so our team can advise you on the best option.

Positive pressure systems work by drawing warm, dry air from your ceiling cavity and gently pushing it into your home, while balanced systems extract stale, moisture-heavy air while drawing in filtered outdoor air at the same time, keeping air pressure neutral.
